Hello,im new to the game. Im solo queuing player. So far my experience has been abysmal. Bloody love fights and all the great mechanics. Issue are team mates. Each session goes like this: I go into 6-7 games where we land and die or people just disconnect, land somewhere else etc. Then 1 game where i land few kills, few hundred damage. I have no problem dealing over 1k dmg. All that is needed are team mates that dont suicide. Im super average but there is no such thing in this game. Either gods that smoke you in milisecond or people who just go alone into room with entire team in it. If you are not a god then you have no chance fighting team of 3 people, even if they are noobs. You have to burn 30 minutes just to get one decent team and its annoying.Is this how every average solo player play this game? Land-die repeat until you find good team?

@Zoltan1251 Usually, i just find a squad, which is already fighting and 3rd party them. Follow the gun fire and have some ordnance equipped. Also having a sniper weapon, is preferable, then stalking a squad and attacking from a distance while they're standing still while looting.

@Zoltan1251 Landing hot over and over gets old though. You can usually tell pretty early if the looting ones can fight just by watching them loot. If they are slow they probably will not shoot well.What you can do is make sure to always select your character and then pick drops that aren't hot but are contested by another team.

@Zoltan1251 Try no fill queueing. You will learn to approach fights better and when to disengage. It helped me a ton. Now, with randoms I tend to play off them, many times hanging back a bit using them as bait.

What do you mean "select your legend"? Thats what is always done at the beginning of the game right? You pick legend you want to play and go

@Zoltan1251 Yes, I've been playing since the 2nd split of S8 and consider myself average. What you describe is the solo queue experience for the average player (KDR around 1.0, give or take). The matchmaking is abyssmal so you'll get teammates worse than you &/or opponents better than you almost every match.

Thats a strategy, however it only works with team mates. Like i said, i can dish 1K dmg no problem but what i cannot do is 1v3 or 2v3 at all. Using team mates as meat shields it the way to go 100% but still. I guess i just want to know if everybody goes with land-die-repeat formula?

From my experience its better to land hot and find out if your team mates are complete NPCs right away so you dont waste your time looting just for them to get smoked the second we spot enemy. I dont like playing looting simulator and since i cannot 1v3 i can just disconnect right?

@hayhor Your 2nd point is crucial, for me. I pretty much always select my Legend, that way I get JM more often than not. In my experience, most people don't bother, so I'm usually the only one that actually chooses

The big problem is that teammates will go to their deaths 1v3 or they will reveal you in the wrong location without any meaningful communication. Most players try to play like Predators...
