Sounds crazy, I know, and I also made a post addressing this last week, but I continue to be plagued with my legend using a melee while switching weapons in mid-fight. Even worse, well over half the times it’s occurred in just the last week for me, the opposing player is just a few hits or one hit away from being dropped. But no, almost each time, in just the last week, where this has occurred for me, I end up getting downed and/or killed. I know the cause is because I’m pressing the attack button while switching weapons, but you can’t convince me it’s as simple to just be more aware of switching weapons when you’re in the middle of a fight, there’s too much concentration and adrenaline going to be able to pay attention to it. This issue needs to be fixed immediately, somehow, someway.

Wasn't melee getting a rework on season 10? It is still insane the range on how melee attacks work, I mean, damage was never a problem with me, the issue is how you can punch someone while being 5 meters away from the enemie. @maximas1986 Yet the weird thing is when you melee people you never seem to get this kinda distance, I literally don't understand apex melee logic at all lol.

Also annoying, is after I begin inadvertently using melee while switching weapons, I will try to ease up on attacking for a brief second in hopes that my weapon will get wielded, but the game just un-wields both weapons all together, so I’m still stuck without a gun in that moment of the fight to then get downed.

@gg123xyz Wouldn’t the attack button still do the same thing though? Unless you separate melee from attack, I was originally going to do the same thing til I realized that.Or maybe there were other settings you had that I didn’t catch or understand later on in your clip?

@DaDeDimson the attack button is r1 which i think is the fire gun button. l1 is the aim down sight button.when i fight i press in my right stick which makes me punch so i tried different things and found crouch is ok.pings no good because it brings up with ping menu, in other words what works for me might work for you too you never know till you try.

I’m at the point where I’m saying ban melee or fix it immediately

@DaDeDimson It’s your fault for leaving them 1 shot or almost dead! If you connected more bullets, it wouldn’t matter! Don’t try to blame Respawn for this! /s XD

Also, it’s because you can’t control your adrenaline and your focus or else you’d be able to not press the button! Git Gud! /s

ya this is an issue for more ppl. Luckily I don’t have it cause I’m usually dead while my adversaries are less than 20 health usually... they always have better stocks cause I can’t even switch and I’m down...

but I don’t think it’ll get resolved quickly tho... just look at the reload, open door and revive issue...

@DaDeDimson it would do exactly the same thing yeah, I'm a bumper player too and melee is still bound to fire if you guns holstered. 😛

@DaDeDimson I've never had this. It is on you to not press the button. Same thing as trying to reload but then you climb canceling it. It isnt the games fault.
