@Marge010 I have to admit, I'm having some mixed feelings as well.
I will say that control does look fun, but even if I really enjoy it, that's only the first 3 weeks of the season. Hard to know how I'll feel about the rest, especially because I'm not too keen on the "craft only" weapons idea (I didn't like it the first time we gave it a go either). Also, while I do look forward to new legends, I feel that Maggie's presence (and Caustic's nerf) may have too large of a negative effect on Defensive legends and the game as a whole. Don't get me wrong, I like to play a bit of everyone and I don't like anything being insanely OP, but the Devs do seem to be leaning into Mobility and Scans pretty heavily. Which leaves anyone without those things (or a way to counter them) out in the cold to rot. And I can't say i find that particular fair or fun.
As for everything else:
It's a shame there's no new gun. I like when there's new guns in the game. Now, I will say I understand the Volt going into the CP. As much as i like my Energy weapons, I get why things rotate in and out of the CP, it keeps things fresh, whch is good. I will say I'm bummed about WE though. Yes, it is my least favorite map, but i know what it feels like to not play on your favorite one (I didn't get to touch KC this entire season and it sucks), so therefore, I wouldn't want anyone to feel as i do. I wish we could have all maps for the whole season in Pubs. It's just nice having that (imo). Lastly, i will say i feel the BH skin is a bad idea. It's insanely expensive for what it is (a skin you won't even see most of the time) and it's ridiculous that not only do you pay a crazy price for it, you have to grind out 130K damage to get all the tiers (it's like a really bad and expensive BP).
So, yeah, i think that pretty much sums up my early/pre-release thoughts on S12. A bit of excitement, a bit of irritation, a bit of disgust, and a dash of dread. I can't wait...
