I should be able to pick my legend right?

Since the Genesis event, around 1/3 of my games I can't even pick a legend during the character select screen. I can pre-select my legend in the lobby but if my squadmate picked my legend, I would be...

The name Legacy is in reference to the Titanfall franchise that Apex originated from. The devs just got a little bit more literal than we expected that's all.
