I tracked legend pick rates for 100 matches

@DYSPROssium You have too much time XD. Most reflect what I’ve been seeing except Path is still number 2 in my games. In the beginning mirage definitely was number 2 but that slowly declined over time.

@DYSPROssium Is this ranked or pubs? And if ranked, what level?

I have had the same experience as koochi regarding mirage and path. As a caustic main I go path, mirage or rev if someone takes him.

It still boggles my mind bangalore has such a high pick rate. Octane too but I understand the loot goblins love to spam the stim to get ahead of their teammates.

@hayhor It is only the "play apex" mode, so pubs.

In all fairness,  I think it is hard to distinguish between a lot of legends in the middle of the pack because of only having data of 100 matches.

So it could be that Bangalore should be slightly lower and Path a bit higher.

What stands out the most to me, is that Wraith has such a higher pick rate than everybody else, almost double all others.

I expected Crypto to be quite low, but as I love playing Revenant I was shocked by the rather low numbers.

@DYSPROssium There are statistics kept for a larger base of players and wraith has actually be closer to 30% with the next best legend at around 10%. Path, prenerf was above 20%.

@DYSPROssium I’m usually Rev but if someone else picks him as first or second, it’s usually once in the 4/5 games that I’m not him so still quite common indeed.

Loba is in almost all of my games.

If I were to assess the rates for me:
Wraith (at least once every other game)
Path (at least once in 2/3 games)
Mirage/Loba (at least once in 2-4 games)
Rev (If I’m not him 4/5)

But Crypto def last XD

@DYSPROssium Great post! This is really interesting to see.
I’m a bloodhound main and I’m shocked to see bloodhound in the middle, I struggle to play with him a fair bit when I am playing in Pubs.

Crypto being bottom is accurate, he is more or less useless in Pubs because of him having to be stationary to use a number of his abilities and he only really works well when you have a premade squad and can communicate well.

Caustic has really been a great teammate since his buff. Shocked by the amount of people picking Bangalore & Octane too. Also, I am not surprised to see Path fall since he has had his nerf.

@DYSPROssium These numbers are only worth anything if you played with Randoms every game. Otherwise it's a biased chart, already pretty rigged if you include your own pick.

@Paneross He is not stupid that he will conduct these surveys in a pre-made, but it's stupid that you had that notion.

@BaldWraithSimp Apparently he's not smart enough to list the guidelines and specific criteria for the experiment.
