The map is imbalanced. The northeast portion of the map is just empty and obviously left out for future POIs but still it shouldn't be left out like that. The fights in this side of the map is also one sided since the hills on this side is so steep. The only POI worth dropping here is lightning rod but your next rotation is usually bad since the POIs next to it are small. This is the reason why everyone drops west or south of the map.

For the most obvious change - Grav cannons need a swivel function i.e being allowed to change flight paths, still fixed movement but now you have an alternate landing option, the problem being which ones are easily eligible - the idea of grand overhaul like season 4 died ever since season 9 Olympus imo, so any meaningful change will take time. Balloons should be prioritized for the fringe areas so people will be more inclined to land on em more often and get out when their done "I haven't played in a bit so it might already work like this to some extent", some open space could maybe fixed with detailed building/s "not the 3 story junk or streamer building like on worlds edge, but maybe a small scale warzone like building - not how want to describe it but something that can contradict the outdoor space the map is known for".
- 4 years ago@HappyHourSumwur Stop adding POIs on the other side of the map. They just added a whole plot of land on the west just to add that monster POI instead of balancing the map on the east.

@Cheese9Man
Northeast corner: I would say it's an elevation problem. It makes a longer drop a lot harder. Combine that with the season 14 edge drop disaster of a shorter timer and suddenly it's a wonder anyone drops anywhere at all other than Cascade, Antenna, or Storm Catcher.
Just the same, I'm glad to have all these quiet, edge-of-map drops. I hate it when they add POIs that draw traffic into what used to be my own private peaceable kingdoms. You know, the place you drew the red line around.
