You deserve a 5 minute abandon penalty. If you're against this, then you're one of those leavers we dislike.

@Cro_PitttTo enjoy pubs you basically don't worry about teammates unless they deserve it. I've improved at the game a lot by doing this. I also love pubs. I can only play ranked with a team that isn't worried about points. Otherwise its boring as can be.
Just today I had a game with 2 randoms where we had 25 kills at the end. No coms, just playing off each other's pings and playing angles. Aiding as needed.
@DankTolietNo thanks. The number of times we drop & I get ganged up on by a whole squad and die in seconds is ridiculous. I'm quitting to lobby every time when that happens.
- I leave a lot of matches. When the penalty for leaving was introduced in, I think it was Season 3, I had a massive, accrued penalty and quit the game for 10 Seasons. There was no failsafe like there is now and it was easy to just rage quit a game by habitually pressing the spacebar. If they introduce another penalty for leaving in pubs, and even if it does have a failsafe, then I will quit again.
Yesterday was a case in point, when all of my matches were of very poor quality, characterised by low level or novice teammates who hot-dropped and died almost instantly every single time. Eventually I just land slightly away from them and just wait for them to die. Which is when I leave. Other times I will just slow my descent and often the team is wiped out before I even land.
It's especially disappointing at the moment because the Season started really well, and I was enjoying playing. But Apex has become a complete waste of time this week. This on top of my other complaints such as MnK vs console controllers/aim-assist and prolific cheating.
I can just about stomach Apex in pubs, always hoping for a run of good matches. But a leave penalty would be the straw that breaks the camel's back for me. I believe I am an altruistic type of player but there is only so much of this insanity I can take.
I will probably try Warzone 2 anyway, having played Warzone throughout the pandemic. So don't give me an extra excuse to mug this game off completely by bringing back that penalty. Lol that'd definitely be me learn to Land where the jump master lands or solo que it's an option for a reason I'm looking for a decent team on trios not a solo idiot who wanna risk it all and die then leave honestly just been leaving anytime I get a teammate like that no point me wasting my kd on it
@DankToliet I never understood why people don't want solos. First, it is a staple of most BR games. Second, don't play it if you don't want? Every other reason doesn't hold water.
But really, the biggest push for no solos comes from Respawn itself. And they also don't want to institute leaver penalties.

Landed in estates before, i got 2 and their 3rd knocked me, one of my other teammates was already knocked but our third wiped out their 3rd, happy days.....
The 3rd revives the other player who had done basically nothing, then they both started looting the boxes, 2 of which were thanks to me!! Usually at this point, i will leave, they hadn't even fixed themselves.
I flashed my shield rapidly at them until 1 of them revived me.
I punched them both once each, carried on, got another kill, and you can guess the rest 🙄
- @KelRiever Ooooh, so last night, I was playing pubs, as I do, cause no friends=no stack.
Anyway, drop semi hot, but encounter no players. Byt the time we get to terraformer, there is nobody there, just a few boxes.
Anyway, off our wraith goes on their tod. Myself and the Catalyst head towards the shooting in the distance.
I message the Wraith "Hey, wanna come push with us?" Not as if we didn't ping we were heading that way or anything.
They message back, "it's just pubs."
Me: "Still a team game and we could use the help..."
Wraith: "You can easy 1v3 in pubs. Try not to sweat too hard. I don't need a team. "
Me: "Well if you wanna come join us..."
So this pissed me off. As it would.
So myself an the catalyst push 2 teams, come out on top.
The wraith starts spam pinging cause they are getting shot at.
*wraith gets downed*
Wraith: "You are f***in useless you (insert 3 letter slur here)."
*wraith has disconnected*
Me and Rando Catalyst go on to win match.
Now, if we were less than half the map away, I would understand them being annoyed they weren't getting rezzed, but to talk that much cocky s**t and then try and flame us when they get knocked by running off on their own...
The mind boggles.
And they had less than 50 damage come end of the game.
At this point I'm just building a case for this type of penalty system to be implemented.
Absolutely sick of this type of player being teamed with me.
