- Respawn wants to even up ground for controller players, introduces aim-assist in the game => people including M&K players start to abuse that option via hacks aka aim and soft bots, because the game has that logic built into it
- Respawn introduces crazy moves that are FPS dependant while FPS in many cases are not stable in this game etc., talking about tapstrafe, super glide and super jump. => people just create macro commands for them and this "skill-based" movement becomes yet another rule violation case
- Respawn introduces aim-assist to close the skill gap between input devices => players (average) switch to controller and dominate mid-level lobbies especially in close range fights e.g. yesterday had 2 players on the team who literally did not have brains yet they did 1.5-2x more damage than me because every time enemy came close R99 and Car was used to do up to 200 damage, later this was used as an argument towards me in a format "who do you think you are to make the calls, criticize our gameplay if you have only XXX damage"...and this happens daily plus you can see those controller players know that as they rarely disclose the fact about input device, in my case most of the time it happens when I accuse them of using no recoil (which to be fair might be there still/in the first place)
= Aim assist on only for console players + option for PC players to skip being matched with console players / controller+PC = well too bad for you, hope you are good enough to play without aim-assist or rich enough to by mouse and keyboard / every "advanced" movement off, let people play the game "normally"
do you wanna really upset the no aim andy's ?? controller in apex at close range take almost no skill to the level everyone at diamond on pc is a hybrid player or controller player but hey we have some mnk advantages that are useless in ranked since most important gunfights are in close range and everyone camping
didn't John Larson (dev) say: "Players should not feel forced to use a specific input type, and if I see players converting out of what they think is a necessity, I would 100% be concerned." and "The MnK vs. Controller Debate. I can’t speak to one’s superiority over the other; they have their pros and *" so they better separate ranked by input instead of platform or rework the controller (nerf AA close range, buff the AA range and slowdown, moving while looting, tap strafe in console) or maybe replace the rotational aim assist with gyro aiming so the controller will have 2 WhOlE aRm to aim
