Input based Matchmaking

But you don't know it. You can never know it for as long as there are other variables beside input type. There are modded controllers, cheats too numerous to count, connection issues, and a thousand other differentiators both great and small. How can you ever, ever really know when someone is more highly skilled?

I'm not saying that input device is irrelevant. It isn't. I would love to have the satisfaction that would come from knowing beyond doubt that I'll never see another knm player in my lobbies. But on the list of things that contribute to a sense of imbalance and injustice in this game, input device is just the flavor of the month that people have latched onto for whatever reason. If Respawn segregated lobbies tomorrow then the day after tomorrow reddit would be flooded with people complaining about something else. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Until the end of time.

Wow, that was cynical even by my standards....
