The answer was right there. He's suddenly complaining because it made his wife upset and having been married 22 years, I can tell you smart men live to keep their wives oblivious as to how unfair the world is.

Hold up, so if it’s set to the max based off one player, and I constantly get matched with two obvious lower skilled players, how are they supposed to make a significant difference going up against pre-made masters. If this isn’t solid proof to anyone solo queuing being at a clear disadvantage from the get go, I don’t know what is. This is both enlightening, but very, very disheartening to read. Here I was all this time thinking it was a group average.
SBMM is wild, man, I swear; We can try to make constant tweaks to thr best of our ability but I doubt there will ever be a point everyone will be happy with it

I'm really hopeful at the prospect that this might make playing with my friends a less painful experience. It could potentially make it worse. So far this split, I'm just playing ranked with my friends so we are not 100% of the time put into lobbies against three kill grinding sweat premades.
In any event, I'm very happy to see Respawn trynig to make an effort to actually fix some of the broken aspects of matchmaking. I hope they will devote similar attention to the problems in ranked.
My thanks to those of you who chose to actually discuss the subject of this thread, which is matchmaking. And I'm very disappointed in some people's choice to make this thread an opportunity to grind their axes about pro players and content creators. That response makes me disinclined to bring news of interest to the forum at all.

Wondered the same thing, I am constantly getting matched up with what seems like day 1 players that don't know how to ping, don't even pick up blue shields, don't rez. I made Masters presplit last season and the randoms I get matched with have the skill of a dead mouse.
