@GRiPSViGiL I didn't think you were being silly. You make an excellent point. Every single cosmetic item in-game is entirely unessential from a gameplay perspective. Though it makes you wonder why there is such a huge emphasis on obtaining them.
If the addition of the singles mode was to benefit overall gameplay longevity, why are the only rewards for participating in that kind of gameplay directly connected to the premium content?
But you are indeed right in that despite giving some many players what they've been asking for, there is a greater need to see the developers prioritise what's truly important to the majority of the player base. Server connectivity and netcode being a primary example.
