Is it me or are shotguns horrible in hip fire?
i won’t hip fire them anymore, they are absolutely horrible in hip fire.

Hipfiring with guns is never the best option in apex, but yes, the hipfire is pretty bad unless you are in a couple of meters of an enemy.
The mastiff is really bad in hip firing the mozzy and eva-8 are fine for a couple of meters but still lack on longer rang what normal for shotguns.?
The Mastiff was never made for hip fire. It's spread tightens when you ADS which was partly what made it so devastating, even at range.
The mozambique however is one of the few weapons in this game you can accurately hipfire, the patterns tight and perfectly shaped for a shoulder/headshot shell placement.
You're probably just experiencing the NoReg bs that's rife at the moment, it's harder to notice with shotguns due to the multiple hits per shot.
- @MandatoryIDtag True, but if you stand point blank... like with any shotgun the mastiff is the best since all pellets hit the body and anything standing behind that person :P
But yea, that build-in choke is what makes the mastiff the mastiff and luckily they did not remove that.
The noReg is BS to the fullest extend of the law! Not 2m a still downed enemy, headshot 23! What is up with that!!! ☹️@Koochi-Q That was my point lol, any shotgun is gonna hurt if you eat a shell point blank. Hence why the mastiff is not OP in that regard....it's literally the damage consistency that makes the difference between the post patch mastiff and pre patch peacekeeper. 😛

I dont find any gun OP at the moment. I’ve come across sucky ppl with the mastiff... also come across ppl that did dmg but so have I (both scenarios).
