If you want to show off in video games, you have to have deep pockets just like in real life. Why don't you guys go and wine to Ferrari (for example) to sell their cars cheaper? It is beyond pathetic now...
And I tell you guys a little secret... they have more data to determine what prices benefit them more...
This whole discussion is academic, as it always is. EA knows what format generates money, make no mistake.
If they could make more money by lowering prices, they would lower prices. Same goes for raising them.
This game is high quality for F2P and it’s success has fostered EA’s further investment. That’s a kudos to Respawn, and good for us. I agree that the prices do seem a little steep, and I’m mildly ashamed to admit how much money I’ve spent in this game, but it’s a consumer’s choice. You don’t need to spend a dime to play and succeed. Take comfort in destroying those(us) with our fancy little skins. If you can.
Is it a cash grab? Of course it is. All entertainment products are a cash grab. Virtually all products everywhere are an attempt to make as much profit as possible in fact.
And so what... This game is doing well and it will continue to do so. Again, that’s good for us.
