Is using a Logitech Hero mouse macro cheating?

I constantly report cheaters. I don't want to cheat.

I just bought a Logitech Hero G502 mouse, and it comes with a program that allows the user to create macros. I was messing around with it (I'm not a techie) and found a way to make a macro that allows a semi-automatic gun (like the Hemlok on single shot, or the Flatline w/ Anvil) to fire at maximum semi-auto speed by holding a button down instead of tapping the button.

Is this against the ToS? I think it's pretty cool, but it doesn't actually alter statistics such as DPS... it just makes it less tiresome to use semi-auto.
Yet it would theoretically make the gun easier to use.

Please help! I don't want to get banned over something stupid, so I'm not using the macro until I get cleared to do so.

  • Hey @Jinnobi

The G502 hero is a amazing mouse, got that one myself.

But I recommend to not install any macro's or use the mouse wheel fast scrolling as this gives you an unfair advantage and is against the TOS.
So when playing you best select an empty profile and slaughter your enemy's just with pure aim skill 😉

Yeah it did seem a little too easy to aim a semi-auto using the macro.

I love the mouse, its worth using even without the macros -- and thankfully, I didn't buy the mouse for macros nor was I aware they existed until today.

Now that I know about fire macros, I'm pretty sure I know how kids were mowing down squads with a golden P2020 firing at extreme speed....
Thanks for the advice, I won't be using any macros.

    See you around!
