After watching the new trailer for next season, it shows clips of Olympus and Kings canyon. Does this mean we won't have worlds edge again next season?? Is worlds edge gone for good?? I seriously hope not because worlds edge is the best map and I really miss it!

World's edge has been confirmed that it's coming back and is also the rank map for the first split. Another thing is that WE will finally bring back the old bright blue sky from the S3 version of the map.

Could it be that since KC and Olympus are in rotation now that is where they tested the new content, and why those are the 2 maps displayed?

Oh yeah, I don't recall seeing any specifics on timing, but I can't see any situation where WE would be vaulted for good.

Over the next couple of weeks we'll have a bunch more info on the next season, so we should have something solid before too long.

@EA_DavidNothing was said about worlds edge before or during season 8. It just disappeared without mention!
So it might be the same in season 9 where worlds edge will not be there and nothing mentioned again.

So I saw a picture on reddit the other day in which somebody was politely asking for WE's return, which gained a vague dev response which went something along the lines of "hmmmm it has been a while hasn't it"
Which to me basically alludes to the fact that it will definitely be returning.....just no idea when lol.

@Marge010 What trailer? The one I saw had snow covered areas. Actually it had areas from all maps. But I think those areas were all from the new mode. I'd bet WE is back in season 9 tho.

@Marge010 Usually when a map is out of the rotation they bring it back either when a new takeover event comes out or at the start of the new season. So i think we'll see World's Edge (with some changes) back with an event in the first half of S9. Also the second split ranked will be on WE for sure. S8 first split-KC, S8-second split Olympus, S9 first half- updated Olympus, then it should be WE's turn.

@Marge010 Out of all the maps, I think WE is the map that needs a looking into.

For me, there is too much open space, you seem to find yourself constantly running around on it and for me it's just not all that.

Personally, I think they need to give it an 'overgrown' look, kind of like a jungle. I also think if they added in some sort of vehicle to the map it would be great too.

WE is an amazing map. It to me is perfectly balanced as the places that are open do have quick re-positioning areas quite close. Kc is starting to bore me. WE is the only map i truly enjoy playing.
