Lag and Preds and ….

My home network checks out. Gigabyte Ethernet. But when I drop it’s jittery. When I run and stop, my legend slides forward a second because the system is lagging and hasn’t caught up to my input. When I pick up stuff I see it disappear off ground a second later. I run past ground objects I want to pick up. When I encounter an enemy I’m shooting at where he used to be. You get the idea. And the rookie rank is full of predators, or maybe all this lag makes everyone else seem like predators. Oh, and my auto sprint doesn’t work 60% of the time; often have to press down left stick to run; that makes it hard or impossible to slide or move fast during fights. Things are about as bad as I can stomach. I fight on (so far) only because I’m addicted, but that won’t last forever.

An internet connection can be "fast" and still have high latency, which is possibly what you're experiencing. Most speed tests will give you both numbers. Xbox has one built in under settings. Test your connection and see if your latency is high.

Also, when you log into the game in the first screen it gives you the option to choose a data center other than whatever it thinks is the best default. Pull up the option screen and make sure the game is connecting you to the data center with the lowest ping.
