Lagging in three strikes

This mode is playing so slow that I almost can't move when enemies are on the screen.  When jumping it slows down like something in the matrix.  I'm playing on Switch so maybe that makes a difference, but I won't be able to play this mode anymore unless it's fixed.  It wasn't like this last time this was a ltm.  Anyone else experience this?  I think I'm going to avoid this one unless they say they are going to fix it.
