why would i want to play a five year old map with only 10 selectable characters? where are the akimbo guns? why can't i chose my own map yet? every other battle royale game lets you choose your own map. it's ridiculous how Respawn only allow one map at any one time.
It seems like Respawn is going backwards in their creativity. At the moment I don't like the players that are playing within the game. Too sweaty and too many try-hards.
its soo cringe to limit our freedom of choice this way, i didn't start from this old season so i don't want to play it and i don't care abou any OG stuff
they are causing more people to leave the game this way ...
I was also quite dissapointed by this choice from respawn/EA. It feels incredibly lazy on their end and I would be able to tolerate it if I was atleast given the option to play the other game modes that I actually enjoy. For some reason they think they will increase retention and player base by pigeonholing players into a game mode that they didn't ask for or want to play in the first place, another swing and a miss from what seems to be a failing game and company.
@huyness6Yeah, I'm realizing that I never play any of the original legends anymore and that the maps are so much better now. Huge area of absolutely nothing and almost no loot. I also forget I'm dropping with nothing so I don't pick up white shields or helmets, LOL. On the plus side, some of the old abilities are insanely OP. Wraith's insta-phase and Bloodhound's ultimate are crazy!
Are we stuck playing this one mode aside from ranked for 2 whole weeks it's going to last? I can't find it anywhere that it says how long we have to play this for.
It just doesn't make sense overall... EA has admitted season 22 didn't meet the mark, and admitted issues within the game and a dwindling player base.
Lets think about that for a second, games in the worst state, players are fed up and instead of making sure at launch that this new season had something to offer to rectify this... They instead drop a brand new season, and right out the gate, they take away, I would guess over half the player base's main characters to use. Ones many have spend money on for skins to use with their main characters.
Then force a mode that most didn't ask for, don't care for, especially if players weren't around before seasons were a thing. I personally love the new mode, but I am a day one player, so I'm enjoying it - especially Cascades. Yet even I was disappointed to see that there were no other modes to play - not even Mix Tape.

And they wonder why the game is in its worse state. Every other I game I know, provides options. They certainly don't say, you're going to play what we tell you to play, whether you like it or not.
They put a map in and force everyone to play it only. They put solos in but take away duos. They put quads in and take away again.
Terrible brain dead business decisions.

It pains me to say it, but another company that did this, imo, was 343. And we all know how that turned out.
"I took for granite having white Evo, white helmet and a bigger bag. I cannot go around looking for all these items when my brain is programmed to do all the other stuff from the regular game."
It's too challenging to pick a cooler drop and delay the carnage for sixty seconds until you can find the basics?
