Unfortunately, you can't do much about data miners most you can do in not listen to there posts to "save yourself" if you're one of those people who needs the surprises. It sucks for people like that but it is what it is. They maybe can encrypt the data but even then eventually they key will be found if people are devoted enough to the cause. Its kinda like someone breaking into a house you can disincentivize it but you can never stop them especially cause in this case it is not illegal.

In theory, devs can remove the data about upcoming features from the releases, but that process can be so complicated in practice  that it's simply not worth all the trouble. Tipically, the data leaked is not that sensitive and hardly ever spoils the surprise for us players, as it's never the complete picture. It helps building hype, getting attention and can be used for obfuscation, leading to great plot twist, as it was the case with Forge / Revenant. Also, these leaks can sometimes deter competition from bringing similar features into their games and get called copycats.
