@EA_David
Below are my top things I liked or was surprised about:
“Players can now request better equipment by going into their inventory and pinging a piece of equipment”. - Not really for me as I just look at my team’s gear and if I find better I ping it but neat.
“ARC STARS
Aim and movement slow removed from the initial stick.
Dev Note
Sticking someone should feel rewarding, considering it's a rare occurrence that's difficult to pull off. While an argument can be made that getting stuck should be a personal death sentence, the inability to at least relocate and spare teammates from the follow-up explosion makes it hard to counter against a coordinated team. This change should help mitigate that without stripping away the satisfaction of hitting a nice stick” - So now they’re penalizing strategists by doing that?! If you are alone or not premade and don’t have mic... you’re basically letting a free downed/kill walk if you don’t engage. But now with an added risk of being ganged upon. Good job Respawn ;D really... all my arc star training down the gutter.
“P2020
Increased bullet damage from 15 to 18
Lowered fire rate from 8.5 to 6.25
Dev Note
Similar to the Mozambique, we want to bring up the P2020’s baseline power level a bit. Most players couldn’t take advantage of the fast fire rate, so bringing that down while increasing the damage should help players win more early fights with the P2020.” - Yeeeey, so cause some cant shoot fast, others get penalized for it... I still have to see how this’ll play out but I’m guessing not good. @DarthValtrex, what says you?
“marksman class: For starters, we are increasing the movement speed while aiming down sights for marksman weapons; They were at sniper speeds, and will now be between sniper and AR speeds. Additionally, we have done some targeted normalization of hipfire spread amounts.“ - Nothing to say about this. Good move.
“Knuckle Cluster: Fuse now has two stacks of Knuckle Cluster. Reduced cooldown from 25s to 20s.” - Wasn’t this getting reduced to 16 or 18. I’m sure I’ve seen that on an official channel... it was either the blog or a vid...
Also love the way they implemented the anti peek. Now players will rage saying “NOBODY WAS THERE WHEN I DID EMOTE!!!”. But how will it work when someone strolls in when you’re doing it in a perspective that shows how that person comes into the picture?
So in this pic, the dummy is behind the boulder, okay no peek. But what if you’re doing it and someone comes in from that hall on the left? Will it now show that person approaching or will they show nothing until you get shot when he’s right in front of you?
There you have it folks... some good stuff in there.
