I wanna be brief.
It is completely disappointing to me.
Just out of curiosity, are any of the devs in the video ranked as Apex Pred?

@VdstrkYep, instead of making the cluster charge stronger, they promote spam.
Someone tell DZK that the problem lies in cluster charges being barely worth using to begin with.
"Caustic is unbalancable".
Because they want him to be unbalancable, otherwise they would have addressed his deeper issues, or they are just dumb.
Its very simple in fact, here is a 3 step guide how to make him balanced:
1. Remove auto- and bullet triggers.
2. Give him a remote detonator with a cooldown.
3. Undo most nerfs and bring back the blind, adjust gas as necessary.
Now Caustic is completely able to be balanced as there is now an inherent counter, people can bait a gas trap detonation and approach from different angles. Caustic must predict for enemies to over commit to catch them with very lethal gas.
Isn't gonna happen though as the Devs act like the community does, everything that denies a W+M1 needs to get removed.- hayhor5 years agoHero@BigBlackCaustic The fuse change is mindblowing to me. The issue isnt the tactical. The issue is the ultimate. Blinding and slowing teammates was bad with caustic and it is bad with fuse.
These are the types of changes that make me wonder if the balancing people play the game.

Of course they want to reduce the skill gap. Most players aren’t terribly skilled. And most of the devs aren’t terribly skilled.
Making the game more casual means they probably make a little more money. Nothing— I repeat nothing, takes priority over maximizing profit margins.
