So some tweeks come to mind regarding his abilities. Why not when rezzing, his robotic hands bring them up while you can aim and use your gun? The tactical reads as a double passive when it comes to the wording "while he retreats, revives an ally or performs any other kind of task." Quite a few legends don't have such an impact when it comes tactical. Having it do damage when it's been a theme that legends don't really do damage with their tactical abilities (10 or so damage if you hit someone with a bang smoke being the exception.) . Octane's ability is on a 1 second cooldown. Perhaps his tactical could be to reload the stored weapon or use an equipped item without having to stop an action. Ex. Shield battery while giving yourself cover. Keep the slow movement so there's counter play but it's making the character revolve around the double arms and not in a pure offensive nature.
I mean you could even have his arms pick up ammo and items (Not guns) while running past them if it's ammo/items not full in your inventory. Another passive idea.
And his ultimate. (Since forge is so far presumed dead). As an idea, have him be able to grab and slam an opponent or throw a loot bin. CQC is a thing and it would be a good counter to the already strong cqc legends like Gibby who's been in a really strong light. Again I'm highly emphasizing on his two extra arms because to me that's awesome concept and has a lot of potential. I wouldn't do specters at all. It makes no sense.
- 6 years ago@Cabowse Definitely much much better and a bit more balanced. Might be nice to add environment interactions with his tactical. (This could be where the developer probably be taking things over) If he is running passed buildings/street lamps and the such, his arms grab onto it to increase the what I am assuming you mean by strafing is quick turns. (Never understood where we came up with strafing in apex when it means: attack repeatedly with bombs or machine-gun fire from low-flying aircraft.)
Also his passive is in the right direction but needs more I feel. Lifeline for example has the quick rezz, shield in front, and can use shields/heals faster. Being able to attack while rezzing is what I feel an AMAZING addition and GREAT counter play for thirsting but still he's vulnerable for standing still so definitely balanced already.- Zulkiers3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Athens_Shield Strafing in gaming is side to side movement to try to keep someone from shooting you. Evasive Action basically. Or sideways movement in a helicopter.
The bombing reference lets me realize what it is for an airplane to strafe, because otherwise it's very difficult or impossible for an airplane to strafe.

My friend came up with some tweaks to the abilities and lore If you want to look at them.
Real Name: Vincent Dormwood
Title: Calculated Commandant
Previous Affiliations: IMC, Vinson Dynamics
Age: 43
Lore:
Vincent “Brass” Dormwood was the youngest commanding officer aboard the IMC flagship, The Vindicta. Born into a wealthy and militaristic family, he was raised as a soldier. No one of the crew members aboard ever saw him smile. With a blunt personality, little humor, and a cold demeanor, his prowess gave him renown throughout the entire galaxy. The only man he ever dared to call friend was an IMC Pilot by the name of Scryer. The Vindicta, and by definition both him and Scryer were present at the battle of Gridiron. After many of the IMC ships retreated, Scryer was furious. But Vincent, cold as ever, began to feel his heart changing. After the war ended, Brass secured the ship with as many of his crew as he could and escaped with it to Gaea. Scyer, furious at Vincent’s betrayal, went to the planet. The two fought but Vincent was bested by Scryer’s small force of pilots. For his crimes, Vincent was left to die, with his hands cut off and almost unrecognizable. Vinson Dynamics and their medical advances found him. Giving him a new face and four new arms, they offered him a position as a mercenary. Longing for a life of command, the company gave him a new ship, The Mandatum, and he went to find lost IMC soldiers to fight alongside him. Briefly, Vincent offered protection to Jackson Williams and his sister, Anita, which Jackson turned down. Now that whispers of a growing threat have reached across the galaxy, Vincent joins the games alongside his ship to deliver justice as a new man alongside his former soldiers.Abilities:
Passive: Helping Hands
“Your time is not done yet! There is a war to be won!”
Brass is able to hip fire while reviving. Brass is also capable of faster reloads and weapon swap speeds (this effect stacks with weapon stocks). Brass is able to jump up walls and leap father off of them when performing a wall bounce. Brass is able to take small healing items (syringes, shield cells, and ultimate accelerants) while firing, however, they take longer to apply (Internal Cooldown for revive portion: 7 seconds)
Tactical: Resolve
“Get up, Dormwood, you’ve been through hell before”
Brass uses his arms to stabilize his currently equipped weapon, reducing recoil and bullet spread when firing from the hip. Using this ability when holding a grenade will decrease the grenade’s travel time and increase its throw distance (Cooldown: 15 seconds)
Ultimate: High Command
“Three locations marked by High Command, standby for missile landfall!”
Brass marks three locations with his neurolink and calls in three bombing runs from The Mandatum, damaging and concussing anyone caught in the blast. (Cooldown: 220 seconds)- Zulkiers3 years agoSeasoned AceOk, so as of his August 2022 edit, my reply refers to this portion.
"
Ultimate: Superior Firepower - Brass uses both equipped weapons for 12 seconds, but is limited to hip-firing. Charge time - 200 seconds.
Notes about abilities:
Tactical Adjustment can be used during Superior firepower.
While using Personal Guard Brass will fire in 3rd person.
Hip-fire accuracy for Snipers & Pistols is increased by varying amounts during Superior firepower & Personal Guard.
Hip-fire accuracy for Shotguns, SMG's, LMG's & Assault Rifles is decreased by varying amounts during Superior firepower.
Reviving an ally works on a toggle during Personal Guard, you must press 'switch weapon' to cancel.
Using Personal Guard while also using Superior firepower will end Superior Firepower prematurely.
If Superior Firepower is ended prematurely, the seconds remaining will be converted to ultimate charge.
"
Here's my reply.
The Ultimate is... ok... but could use a much shorter cooldown/charge time than 200 seconds (3m20s). No longer than 100 seconds preferably (1m40s).
Or buff it a bit to make the extensive charge time worth it.
Previous reply's "High Command" would also be cool, but doesn't really put the many arms to good use. And it would be worth the extensive charge time, or should be anyways.
