I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, I feel a lot of the complaints about it was because players did not know and did not want to learn how to counter it. Then on the other hand I look at it as ok yea it was a little strong due to allowing the LL a good one that is fully guarded and peaks over and over like a Gibby bubble. A thermite on the ground at the shield countered it but it still allowed the lifeline to strafe shoot through the shield.
Being friends with the number 1 lifeline in the game on pc at the moment he has even stated to me that the shield was def overpowered and the kit needed a rework. This comes from someone with 45 thousand matches played on Lifeline. While this is 1 person's belief I tend to listen to that seeing all the experience he has playing that legend alone. When he broke down how it was broken and why it should be changed I understood which some of the things he expressed I name above. It allowed a major advantage for the lifeline and the person being res. A lot of times allowing a knock to happen multiple times would save the team because the Lifeline had endless shields blocking her and she could act as if she was in a Gibby dome. His only complaints about that legend at this time is how useless her ultimate is.
- 4 years agoOrigin lifeline rez was better, this whole drama started because they made it a automated rez with a shield in the name of 'we will give her a sidegrade'.
Now at least the players have to protect the body and not just chill behind a shield. Yes to manual shield rez, no to automatic shield rez(IMO) - hayhor4 years agoHero@BaldWraithSimp I'm with you. One or the other.
