Us controller users are at a major disadvantage since we cannot strafe around while searching dead players loot boxes.This has gotten me killed TONS of times mid-battle since its practically suicide to attempt to loot while under fire. Now, of course you can say "dont loot while under fire then" But heres the thing... Mouse and keyboard users can grab dead players armor to get an instant recharge or a quick upgrade off a dead enemy with higher tier armor. Which is a legitimate tactic at the moment.Even outside of combat people will do it to avoid sneak attacks from hitting them in the head and so on.A tactic that myself and other controller users cannot employ.Its simply a handicap.What i propose is forcing all users to be locked in place while looting death boxes. You SHOULD be vulnerable while looting death boxes anyway.

As a controller player on PC I agree with @VenderAzura I've made the decision to take the alternative peripheral, I have to accept all the benefits and drawbacks that come with it.If we say that mouse/kb users shouldn't be able to move whilst looting death boxes, do we also say that controllers shouldn't get aim assist because mouse/kb players don't get it?? (even though it's minimal in this game)Do we block the use of mouse buttons 3,4,5 because only some gaming mice and not all mice have these buttons??? the list could go on.

As a controller user on PC I just don't agree with you. Yes, there's minimal aim assist, but that's not really the point.You're argument essentially boils down to 'I can't have it so you shouldn't have it' well that applies just as much to kb/mouse players with aim assist- so denying them it would be double standards.Same with my explanation about mouse keys - do you ban mouse button's 3-9+ because not all mice have them? Do you ban quick ping shortcuts on keyboard that we have to use the scroll wheel for on controller? - if you don't, again double standards.It's entirely possible that we just have different play styles, perhaps i'm more conservative so don't rush in on deathboxes, maybe I loot quicker - so this issue just doesn't happen to me, but not once have I thought that being able to wiggle a bit would have saved me being shot in a hail or AR fire or a grande being thrown next to the deathbox i'm looting.Either way, i'm not trolling, I just don't agree.

Firstly, at no point have i said that any aim assist is a balance for restricting movement. I'm just pointing out there's one advantage using that set up, and there's another advantage using another set up.Secondly, I do change my opinions, but based on the evidence gathered and presented. When I made that post earlier in the week i'd not clocked up as many hours as i have now, and i was still switching between kb/mouse and pad to see what felt right for me. At that time I was confused as i'd seen posts on other forums and reddit hyping up the ability of autoaim in this game. I've since clocked up the majority of my total game time on pad and have a much better feel for the minimal aim assist i feel exists. I've also seen a number of video's like the one posted in this thread where people test the aim assist and prove there is some there. To clarify my position I think there's a slight aim assist - i mentioned that in comment #5 on this topic, i'll add it below:"If we say that mouse/kb users shouldn't be able to move whilst looting death boxes, do we also say that controllers shouldn't get aim assist because mouse/kb players don't get it?? (even though it's minimal in this game)"Finally you've once again sidestepped my follow up discussion points on the differences of pinging between kb/mouse and pads as well as mouse buttons 3-9+Seems like you want a change because it'd benefit you, rather than actually discuss it.

If you used a controller you wouldnt be saying there is some advantage going on with aim assist.Its obvious you are trying to gain a sympathetic response with that statement.I mean, really its painfully obvious.Aim is superior with mouse and keyboard and there is no need for controllers to be at a disadvantage due to a simple design flaw unrelated to the peripheral in question.I really dont get it. Lets nerf the controllers ability to loot... Thatll fix him for that auto aim that hardly exists!Why is this being argued... Its like raising the gas price because a bird * on your windshield.Have you ever been in a situation where your team says "go get the gold armor off his body! quick!" And i have to reply with "I cant! im using a controller and im not allowed to..." @neillkorey Dude, come off it. MnK players are everywhere on console. There is no way someone can do a 180 with a thumbstick that fast

And it has started people blaming every death on mnk in before the comment every apex predator has to be a mnk nobody could be that much better than me
i have played this gam a decent amount and have seen very few mnk players it makes me sad that just because someone does something you can’t do they must be mnk

@Coyotekins_YouTB If you're using controller on PC you're already at such a disadvantage, this should be the least of your concerns. If you want a level playing field, play on console where you controller players belong.

@neillkorey It's pretty naive to think that people won't use any advantage they can get in a game.
Of course there are MnK players in console, spectating can tell you this much. However I wouldn't go as far as saying console is flooded with these players.

Did you even read my comment? I said that I have seen a few just tired of every joe blow that gets killed blaming it on mnk because that is the only way they could possibly die and it is laughable that 50 percent of the community thinks they are everywhere

That's exactly what i read.
However the fact that you've "only seen a few" Doesn't mean by default that there is only a few doing it, that's just the players you've been aware of, mine and your experiences are not going to be identical to other players.
So maybe attacking other players based on your own assumptions of the game isn't the best idea eh?
It's fine to express opinions and debate subjects but getting petty with it doesn't benefit anybody.

@full951 The issue is that the left stick is used for looting so we cant use it to love it would be better if it were mapping and everything was movies to right stick and the triggers
