I play on London servers & its been a few seasons now since I've played with a full 60 player lobby & where always tends to be at least one or two players short (58/59 players) of a full lobby.But regardless of what time of day I play I do often encounter lobby count in the low 50's where as a result I am often at least a teammate short & at times on my own.If I'm paired with only one teammate in Trios its more often than not that they will either quit before landing,drop off the map or just remain a statue on landing & just won't play making it just pointless playing on.It averages out 1 in 4 matches I'm a teammate down but a few weeks ago in what was a rarity for me nowadays I played 6 Trios matches back to back 5 of those I was down a teammate even on player selection.I played a TDM earlier this afternoon where on character selection I had no teammates whatsoever & when the team line-up came on screen I was paired with just one teammate in what was a 2V6 match.Whatever the agorithm Respawn uses much like everything else it doesn't work & I certainly don't believe the old guff the same old Youtubers trot out about the game enjoying record numbers of players when player shortages in lobbies suggest something else.
Of the many issues Apex has (some have been there since day 1 still unfixed) match fill issues has always ranked among the highest for me regarding issues but has always seemed very low down to non-existent for Respawn.
