So I am a solo player since day one.Sometimes here and there I squad up with people.Two of my friends came back after a year to try the new season.Now beginning of the season, my pubs where constant preds and masters, this quieted down, but as soon I had a squad and jumped into pubs to warm up before ranked, wow, we where in the blender, all of the champion squads masters and preds, we had 2 lobbies where we where the only ones who didn't have a shiny colourful dive trail.Not related to match making, but I noticed, even my friends noticed, a lot of squads during our gameplay just knew where we are despite the fact we where out of their sight and they where focusing on a different squad.I am really reaching my breakpoint here

Agreed. I play most of the time solo in pubs, and find its tough but doable. Whenever I try to play with either one of my sons in duos or both in trios - its master pred tails, 20 bomb and 4k badges non-stop until we've been stomped roughly around 10 matches. Then we get thrown an easy lobby or guaranteed win. After that, back to being stomped by pros. It truly feels like you are being punished for playing with friends or family. Its pretty sad when I ask my son to play with me and he says, "Nah, I would rather play solo, its more fun and alot easier and less frustrating, sorry." I am a level 525 (roughly) and I tried to play with a friend that has never played before, fresh download, level 1. Still, placed into master pred lobbies and fed like bait to the sharks. A level 1 partner! Just asinine. : (

I get to see this from several angles in my games. I queue regularly with my best bud ,who is a high skill player (previous seasons masters and high diamond). Our lobbies are brutal, he finds them much more difficult than his solo queue games. We used to get a lot of games that he could carry us through or that I could substantially contribute in,, but not very much anymore. What I've started doing with him is playing on a (reverse?) smurf account so that I'm not tanking my stats in lobbies well above my pay grade. I also queue up with two guys who are at around my skill level, which I'd describe as on the low end of average. None of us has high kdr, but somehow the game thinks we're a UNIT. Lately I've begun solo queuing again (after taking a long break from it) to make up for these games dragging me down, and honestly my games are going very well there. I used to get lots of useless team mates when I solo queued, but lately the game matches me mostly with similarly skilled players. Sometimes it's clear that I'm the "carry player" as intended by the matchmaker, sometimes it's one of my team mates, and sometimes we're all about even. We have good games with multiple kills and team fights won, but not a lot of wins. That's OK. Winning is fun and all but I'd rather see and feel my skill improving than win games. If I'm coming out of a session feeling good about having played, and improving my stats with a net positive kdr, that's good enough for me! The more I get these games that go to later zones, the more experience will help me improve at making my own decisions about zone rotation and playing in late zones in general.

@Renegade_Prime86 How do you end up in such lobbies? I wished, I was, just for the kicks of it. Maybe it has something to do with playing in pre-made squads. Where MM considers pre-made squads more organized for these levels, unlike with randoms.

@Renegade_Prime86Yep, it's why I laugh when people claim playing with a squad will result in better stats for them. My solo pubs are much much easier. It really sucks that squad mm is so harsh because an experienced person trying to teach a new person has to smurf and be careful not to do well.What's funny is ranked is the same. If you squad in it you'll get harder opponents.

Match Making if you squad up is even worse then being solo

@Renegade_Prime86 i feel the same too like everybody will targeted and focused on me instead other like im big streamer or apex professional but sadly im not it felt weird for them to synch shoot only at me but neither my teamate experienced the same thing so far

Yes, your mmr gets an instant bump the second you squad up with anyone. I've never been able to get a feel for whether or not the bump is greater for a full squad than it is for just a duo. I also don't remember (it's been a while) whether the effect is undone the second you start soloing again. But I can remember thinking that I was in a completely different game, the difference was that stark.

@Renegade_Prime86 It's cause the system is trying to match you with other premades too(as it should be). The only issue is that most "high skill players" are often in a premade too and most "lower skill players" are often playing solo. That's why solo/duo is easier compared to going in as a full premade.

I truly understand the others thoughts when trying to play with you.
Think about it for them it would be better to be in an "easier" lobby or one closer to their skill level however where do you fit into that equation? Should you be playing with a level 1 against a bunch of level 1's? I think not.
Your friends and family will have to play at the highest skill level of their duo or trio premade teammate member/s.
My son is like level 27 or so and has not been playing long and one of my friends and I are over Lvl 500 and my son is doing just fine, having fun, getting kills and slowly ranking up in RP and exp.
I do not agree with the title of this post, I have more fun, kills and better placement when in a Premade Duo or Trio.

I play solo most of the time but party up to play with my brother occasionally. We are both trash cans, probably upper silver to low gold ranked if we put the time in to get there. We both play a lot so our levels are high, but we still suck. Level does not equal skill, but anyways . . .

Solo matchmaking is horrible. For some reason I get teammates much worse than me and/or opponents much better than me ALL THE TIME.

It is magnified when my brother and I play together. Somehow the game thinks that 2 silver/gold players with a random should be put in lobbies against diamond and up 3 stacks.

I want to play the game with my brother and have a good time but it is literally impossible like that. We don't have an LTM to jump into either and that makes it even worse.

I'm not sure if it's worse. I solo q for the most part and I run into a lot of masters and preds in my lobbies. The crappy part is...my teammates are usually very low level. They're not that good and they just push people by themselves and die.
