Well a few weeks on and the same problem. I hardly play trios anymore as there is little point; just smashed every game.

I suspect the casuals have moved to Wildcard or just quit all together. I have had great games in wildcard but trios is simply a no-go. The skill graph always skews hard right and I'm not at that level, I'm just not.

Not sure where to go from here. Day 0 player and my playtime has tanked over the last few weeks because it just feels pointless. I'm not so sure it's the matchmaking anymore, I suspect people have moved on to other games or play Wildcard. Match making can only work with what's in front of it and if the player base isn't there you will just get a sweat fest which I have no interest in. Beginning of the end? Not sure.

Honestly I think pubs (trios) indication of team's strength is a gimmick. E.g. I grinded out battle pass after I could no longer bear to play ranked and in ALL games (20+ I would estimate) I was NEVER on the left side of the graph, more often than not I was either top squad or very close to that as per indication.
Yet in reality results are / were as per Apex:
in many cases while being "good team" my teammates dropped us fragment or any other hot drop with like 5+ teams and died basically doing at most 3 KP, more often 0
in many cases even when trying we faced really good / better teams and got killed in fair 50/50 fights
in some cases we did win the game but mostly because we survived early game shinanigans = braindead plays, respawned, by the time of reset there were <10 squads left, we rotated into end zone and defended from good positions well
in my 2nd game (as posted below) my teammates died off the drop in Fragment while I clutched and ended up 2nd almost clutching 1v3 with 7+1 (two of last 3 were knocked = would yield me 10+1 if I would clutch) and 3k game...

It would be interesting to know how pubs matchmaking works but I rather feel there like Preds in ranked as in many cases people in pubs do no pay any attention or clearly lack mechanical / strategical knowledge = I would rank them low gold or lower which for me (Diamond+) player most of the time is a field day. Why game gives me such pubs in trios...I have no clue nor really enjoy the fact as I always like the competition.
