Yeah that's what i wondered too, the whole backstory makes no sense at all. As an orphan to wealthy moguls, wouldn't she have some kind of godfather to take up custody of the child and inherit her parent's assets and savings when she would be an adult under law?
@WingmannedbroYou mean orphan to thieves? It's likely her parent's assets were seized cuz they were obviously stolen. And that's why she was given to a foster family. Maybe they stole something from The Syndicate, so they sent a killer Robo and then took all of their assets. Respawn storytelling is very deep and intricate. You might say I am wrong, but I can bet it would be something like that.
