I keep reading that when you activate mirage's ultimate ability you go invisible. If this is the case, why can people see me and kill me. If your not completely invisible, it kind of makes it useless. Yeah, you send out a few decoys, but they are useless if you can be seen. Whilst it is activated you have no access to weapons which makes you incredibly vulnerable if the enemy can still see you. At least with wraith you don't take damage.

There´s no invisibility at all at this game.
Wraith ability you´re like a sparkling ball of o light, that can be chased easily.
Mirage, you don´t get invisible, you get a camouflage, like the movie predator.
You can be "seen" because you´re blurred, it´s useful if people are at med to long range, if they´re close to you, they are going to notice, unless they´re getting shot at, grenades and stuff like that.
It´s a distraction, well played in the right circumstances it´s very useful, like every other ultimate at the game, it´s not a free invisibility ambush ult.
you're not invisible you're a nearly invisible. It's best used in certain situations also... the more you move the higher you're detectable.
And the ability says: deploys decoys while he cloaks. It doesn't state you're turning invisible.
Yeah, ability description doesn't tell you as well, that you become an easy target because you can't do anything except running. At lest wraith can't receive any damage during her ability.
I think if Respawn made Mirage as a holo pilot like in TF2, then he would be more viable. His cloaking ability isnt going to make you invisible, but "cloak" you, however; Mirage should be able to cancel out of his ult. I think his viability value goes down because of his ult but his decoys are very fun to play with and to bamboozle people. I die less often when I dont use his ult at all.
It's sad because I have most of my stats with him lol. But I agree, his ult needs some serious work. Either make all the decoys run in different directions so they can't see which one's which, or make him completely invisible. You can't pull your weapon out for a few seconds after anyway, so it's not a free shot at all.
Agree, we have 3 options for enhancement:
1. His ultimate doesn't take damage (just like wraith).
2. Able to exit his ultimate when want to (doesn't have to wait to timeout). Simplest way and fair enhancement.
3. Decoys are more convincing, jumping, running, not simply spread in circle then stop.
I like this one if possible, more fun to play. Still like to combine this with option 2, it would be perfect bamboozle.
Community ManagerPopping your tactical right before you use your ultimate is a great way to evade an enemy. We've seen some amazing plays where the ultimate comes in handy when Bangalore tosses some smoke to help Mirage advance closer to the enemy squad without being seen.
