    The developers voluntarily removed the "Mouse and keyboard" tab from consoles' settings. If they wanted us to use mouse and keyboard, they would have left the tab.

    Circumventing limitations implemented by design with third party adapters for mouse and keyboard that spoof DualShock 4 is what I personally call cheating or hacking. In a way, using a coffee machine to boil water or prepare a Cup-a-Soup is hacking.

    I'm not saying it's inherently bad. All I'm saying it that it goes against the developers' design and against PlayStation's Terms of Service and User Agreement. People who use such devices to circumvent current limitations are at risk to lose access to Apex Legends, their Origin Account and even their PSN profile.

    I'll just wait till the devs say it's cheating rather than going off your assumptions. they clearly take no issue with emulated mouse and keyboard support playing with controllers

    players who use 3rd party adapters to use mouse and keyboard on this or any a game that has ever existed on console are at zero risk of losing any access to any of their game services or console. please do not lie about that. that has never been the case nor will it ever be.

      I have a speaker system that by design, does not accept spdif optical audio my console outputs. it was not designed by the speaker manufacturer to take that signal. but because I own it. and it's mine and the manufacturer has zero control over what I own and how I use it, I bought myself an adapter from optical audio to analog.

      I had this mouse and keyboard that by design didn't work with my console. I fixed that. if that's "hacking" it's fine by me and clearly fine with the devs and console manufacturers

    Companies need to support it. As in the console manufacturers. There's an easy way to keep it a level playing field. When a mouse and keyboard is plugged in the aim assist turns off. You rely solely on your ability. Last I checked you can move the mouse as much as you like but it still caps out at the top speed of a thumb stick, that's how it was for every game in the past. I don't know if anyone has found a way around that. So long as that's true then the playing field is pretty level. Yeah, the bad players are at a deeper disadvantage but let's face it. Even if everyone used thumb sticks they'd still die a lot. The keyboard and mouse doesn't really matter. I've always seen it as people blaming everything they can but themselves. Again that's assuming that the mouse speed is still capped at the thumb stick's limit. If that's changed then mouse users definitely have a distinct, and overpowering, advantage over controller users.

      Damn this seems like a back and forth of people purposely misunderstanding one another. Two facts. Respawn didn't 'voluntarily' remove a mouse and keyboard tab. I don't think any PS4 games are intended to have native mouse and keyboard support beside maybe Final Fantasy XIV which is a cross platform MMO. Apex Legends is not cross platform so Sony probably wouldn't have had any good reason to permit it to begin with.

      The other fact is that using mouse and keyboard against controller users is an indisputable advantage in shooters. Whether it fits your definition of cheating or not it will only offer the same kind of pride as outscoring a 5 year old in a maths test. It will shrink (or grow?) your epeen to the size of a peanut. If you want to play mouse and keyboard don't buy a console, join us on PC. The game costs nothing to install.

        Please tell me how it's an " indisputable " advantage. If both items are capped at the same limit, the in game cursor doesn't move quicker on one over the other, it becomes an issue of preference. If you're good with a controller there's nothing a mouse user can do to get an advantage over you other than who has the high ground, positioning.
