Name calling and being rude to your squad mates

So many people speaking such big words like "idiot", "you're *", "are you dumb", "chimp", "gorilla". I think just from reading that you'd fugure I decided not to go get their banner afterwards when they died, I came 2nd in that match solo. Maybe they think I'm younger because of my nickname, maybe they think they can be abusive and bully me? You say * in the squad I'm in about me or the other squad mate you can forget me retrieving your banner, you can go quit and spend 10 minutes off the game buddy.

  • @Jackary5 This is a problem across many online game platforms.  It's the same in FIFA.

There are lots of toxic children playing this game.  They want instant gratification.  I get messages sometimes telling me to delete the game or how bad I am.   I mean, taking the time to be toxic to message me about you getting melted with your crap decision making is a pretty good demonstration of weapons grade chutzpah but whatever.  I usually just leave a referral to seek counselling for a poor upbringing and block them.  But, sure, I make mistakes too.  Whatever.

It happens.  I don't think there is much you can do about it.

Just a shame that not all of them can be blocked because they're on different platforms, I've not even seen any report options for other players outside of the club that you're in... Definitely some parenting defect, parents  aren't as strict any more, I'm sure there are kids years 8 and above on it... If people thought the numbers on my screen name was my birth year they'd think I'm 12, they must think I'm an easy target.

  • @Jackary5 They easily get banned in apex though. Just report them. Scroll down a few pages of this forum and you’ll see a few kids getting banned because of verbal misconduct. If I sense any toxicity from my randoms, it’s an insta mute or I’ll just quit myself.
  • @Jackary5 As soon as you even hear an insult come over the mic, mute, report, carry on with the game. Half the time I play with squads on mute now anyway & just ping away. Most people can't communicate on mic properly anyway lol. They're either talking too much, too little or have annoying background noise. So I just mute lol.
  • @Cheese9Manto be honest, I don't think that everyone gets banned even with solid proof of violation.
last season, a kid typed in the text chat " **** your mother horizon " as I was playing horizon.
and the reason for that was I lost a 1v1 in arenas XD.
so I took a screenshot, reported him to hideouts, also on the EA report page then I observed this player for the next month but he was still able to play the game every day.
the meaning of this is the report function is only partially functional and means that a lot of violations pass under the radar of the EA security team and we are still talking about verbal violations not to mention cheats and exploits.
and the other day we encountered someone known as IQtele... I will not mention the full name to preserve his identity but am sure he is familiar to some in the community as he was the #1 predator for several seasons on PlayStation until they found out that he was exploiting bronze lobbies to farm RP as a predator.
after we wiped out his squad, I was looting a box and noticed the name and got surprised as I know that he got banned, but here he is alive and kicking .....and getting kicked XD
am not complaining, I am just making a point 🙂

@maximas1986 It’s also possible that the kid just got a 1 week suspension which they typically get during their first offense. But yeah I agree that it’s not 100% working for some reason. There was a recent wave of false positive bans on apex where the person that reported (victim) was the one getting the suspension/ban and not the accused. LOL.

Did the same thing as you once in S7 for 2 teams clearly teaming in ranked. Reported with a video through the website and hideouts. I was also watching their games in the apex tracker website for at least a month but non of them got banned at all. Not to mention, you can’t also report in-game if you and the accused is on PS which sucks. My friend got suspended for a week for typing out “nigeru” which means run away. LMAO.

Yeah IQ is back. There was this Respawn dev who also played as a pre-made squad with a known cheater in Apex. Didn’t get any sanctions of course.

Every time someone tells me I'm supposed to be on the mic,

a thread like this reminds me why I am not.

You don't need a mic to raise you ranked, and you don't need to talk to people.  It's not necessary to play this game and be good at it.

  • @Jackary5 And the worst is when a player runs off and jumps a squad solo, dies and then rage, screaming how bad you are and all kinds of names. It sets me off big time, and I've even been both suspended and banned for the replies I gave the players.
