New healing sound effects (patch notes)

New healing sound effects added with the recently changed healing animations. They fit the animation better but kinda loud. Notice that there are more layers to the sfx like ticking and electricity. Check them out in the FR.

Other stuff (no patch notes as of this writing):

- Re-equip your devo reactive skin as well other missing items.

- Blinding or blurry light when outside of the ring fixed.

- Don’t forget to get the golden ticket to get a snippet of the S15 map. You would need that to unlock the new “mode” on the 19th.

edit:

Official notes

Good morning, legends 👋 We just pushed a small @PlayApex patch to address a few issues, such as:

Reenabling the Bound in Bone and Dragon's Spine Devotion skins
Resolving blurry out-of-ring visuals
Restoring the "Elegant Aesthetic" Loba skin to players

@Cheese9Man It sounds like there is a low bass sound that overwhelms at times. Hopefully that is in the frequency range I have turned down. lol

I have notice about 4 times since the patch, that despite there being no one near us for miles, I have heard healing sounds as loud and plain as day, as if someone is healing less that 1 meter away from me. Its weird.

I know that at all times every sound in the game is happening even the sounds that are across the map from me. I can hear when in a quiet area really listening....all apex sounds happening at a very faint volume (shield cells, reloads, knocks, revives etc...

@NickBeam27 This has been happening for more than a year ago as pointed at by mokeysniper. He thought that this might be the one causing the audio bugs but got no response from Respawn so it might not be the case.

Was that the fella that made the video, which broke down the different audio sounds? If so, his explanation made sense...whether or not that is the issue is another thing. However Respawns lack of response really doesn't say too much either way lol.

Something is causing misfires in audio for sure. But adding more ambient/ environmental sounds to cover up bad audio isn't going to fix the issue. Neither is adding more scanning characters to counter bad audio.

Swapping teammate footstep sounds and enemy footstep sounds, IMO could help a lot. Seeing as how my teammates footsteps are always...and I mean always louder than the combatants.

  • @Cheese9Man Not sure why they needed to change healing sounds. I wish they done something about footsteps and other key sounds to improve gameplay.
