You won't receive an Apex Pack every time you rank up. As you get to higher levels it will take more than one level up to receive one. You can earn a total of 45 Apex Packs from Player Levels 1 – 100.
I find it very predatory to have loot crates drop every level to every 2 to every 5. It’s a scummy way to try and get you to buy coins for crates. You get used to getting a crate every level then when you don’t get them your brain kind of craves it as a reward. Making you want to throw money down. I’m all about supporting a f2p game but it’s pretty obvious they are using this as a tactic get us to buy more.
