No Way To Progress Battle Pass Without BR Mode

As the title says. It looks like you are telling any players who don't like BR that it's time to leave your game. Not only did you remove arenas, but the new TDM has no way to progress many of the 2-star and 3-star dailies, plus some weekly challenges. Now that there are no bins or crafters in your alt modes, those challenges are DOA. So, looks like time to say goodbye, as I hate BR with a passion.

Also, as an aside, your MM continues to be terrible. No idea why the team has the idea that pairing twitch masters with low-skill teammates is fun for anyone. TDM all week has been one player with the lion's share of the kills and like 3k damage, plus 2 players with 1.5k damage, and the rest all at like 500 damage tops and 0 kills. Nice work! /s

Actually, it's quite possible. Thought the same at first, but still get them done. Otherwise just reroll until a better one.

I'm more annoyed about the more absurd weekly ones, like 15000 damage with pistols in BR (I rarely use Wingman) or revive squadmates 50 times (they usually quit before I get the chance).. It's a waste of time, when I like to play in my style, but that doesn't get my challenges done. Especially for players with limited playtime. I can see why they don't bother buying the BP. That's why I chose to ignore most of the challenges, my playtime is sufficient to get the BP done mostly by XP.

"It looks like you are telling any players who don't like BR that it's time to leave your game." Well the BR is the core of the game. If you don't like BR IDK why you'd even consider Apex. The other game modes are just fluff that other games do better.

  • Arenas was launched the season I joined Apex Legends. I tried out BR and discovered I hated it. Wasting time looting for 15 minutes only to get killed in 2 minutes isn't my idea of fun.

Arenas was the complete opposite, not just "fluff." If BR is the only part of the game that matters, then why waste development time on something different?

TRANSLATION: Get out of my game you filthy casual.

Well, good news, most of us are, so you're going to have even rougher matchmaking as the population drops to being 90% Types 1 and 2.

Yessir. I got to BP level 8 in two days with maybe only six BR games played. If I made any BP progress in those games, it was very minimal.  There is no need to do those two star weeklies in order to progress.  I generally ignore them.

  • @WolferatoWait, so you can or you can't? You finish just based on XP from fighting alone, no battle royale? You skip all the two- and three-star dailies?

You know the ones right, open X number of crates, perform a finisher (which you can't do in TDM or Control), use X number of harvesting crafters, etc. And you're able to grab your daily login reward, too, right?

You can only reroll challenges once, which is generally needed to get rid of BR-specific challenges and change them to NBR challenges, but then the NBR challenges end up having to do with things that no longer exist because arenas doesn't exist either.

@LaughingSharko  The daily are easy to do in both modes, and yes these can be rerolled indefinitely, if enough tokens to spend.

Legend, damage with a certain weapon and knockdown/kills challenges are faster to do and achievable in TDM, for the engagement is instant and plenty than in BR. The rest is insignifficant, because when you have a good long BR/TDM game with at least 1000 damage and a few kills, that earns you around 5000 or more XP, whitch is 1 star. So one star a game is faster then some 2 star challenges where you would need to do at least 3 or more matches to complete. And in time, some get completed anyway.

At least 90% TDM. I don't worry about finishing every daily. I made no effort really at particular challenges except for picking Ash exclusively for a bunch of games and making sure to take LMG loadouts. I have played a bit more BR over the last couple of days, but I had already completed what I needed in TDM.

Something I've found helpful when making a direct effort to grind daily BR only challenges is to do a few quick no-fill games. I get my craft mats (or open bins, etc.), grab a treasure pack, and exit the match. At some point in every season there will be an event that gives lots of BP stars, which I also find helpful.

On the flip side, there are some challenges, like dealing 5K damage or getting red-tier weapon kills, that are easier to do outside of BR.

Good luck out here man! Pretty much all of the ten-star weeklies can be done outside of BR. When they start stacking on each other (e.g 12 games as or X,000 damage, they are quick to knock out several levels at once.
