NRG Sweet and and Daniel Klein, the lead game designer of Apex, got into a heated argument over twitter. I'm not the guy who would say "the devs don't play their game" but this Wattson hot take is just bad. I guess it's all about the numbers for this dev. What do you guys think? Does Wattson need a complete rework?
DZK really needs to understand that Occams Razor can only be applied if all competing theories use the same set of considered evidence.
If people point out that her win-rate is inflated (and by extension, worthless) cause she is used primarily in squads with a strategy in mind in contrast to most opponents who don't (which by itself is a huge factor regardless of pick). Then the answer that her win-rate is high because she is "simply strong" without disproving the previous theory with the data he has access to but we don't does not hold much weight and makes him come across as arrogant or even dishonest.
Just release the stats, we aren't stupid and it did wonders for the games that do.
guys, DK got fired from RIOT, a well-known extremely incompetent company at doing anything related to operate a game, especially in designing and rebalancing gameplay. This proof even he was so incompetent by their standards, of course he is gonna say some insanely mind blowing stupid fact and make absolutely horrible decision. It took them 8 seasons to balance Wraith by figure it out that increasing her hitbox in an FPS game is a way to balance the game. wow who could have guess it that hitbox play a major role in any video game am I right?

Oh boy I sure do love this Riot game company. I'm sure with a crew has 200 years of experience at making and running videogame this company can't do wrong at anything
@Lord_Scorpion34 that's the thing though, like I said initially there just aren't that many places where you can utilise the fences well....so they're not guiding the gunfight as they should be. Most end circles are in places with heavily limited cover for starters.
The point you're making holds true on the old KC/WE maps, so she'll probably see better results for the next couple of weeks but otherwise it just ain't the case lol.
I know you're not disagreeing btw, just offering a counter point to that whole "she influences the fight theory"
