Once You Reach Gold, You Should Never Get Demoted to Bronze

I don't play ranked much - I get to Gold and then go back to pubs - but I hate grinding out of Bronze. Took me four hours yesterday to get from my demoted rank of Bronze III (from Gold IV) to Silver ...

@EdwardDLuffy I don't know, I don't think the game should have tier demotion protection to begin with. There are far to many people in Gold and Platinum who do not belong there. It leads to a horrible experience for those who need a third to play ranked or solo queue into ranked. The higher up you go in ranked, the hard it is to compensate for bad teammates because the skill gap between you and your enemies becomes minimal. Most fights start to come down to the wire in terms of who wins it.

If they want to keep tier demotion protection then they need to reduce the placement points RP substantially so people who camp and run from conflict don't make beyond Silver or so and definitely don't make it up into Platinum.

@DarthValtrex Perhaps I have an unusual way of thinking but wouldn't allowing tier demotion increase camping? If I'm Plat 4 and I really don't want to drop down to gold I won't take any risks. I'll hug the sides of the map until I place decently just to avoid tier demotion.

I don't particularly care about rank so I'll dive any fight that I see but I'd camp more if I cared about ranking down.

I'm more in favor of rewarding talented players and boosting them up quickly. Separate the skilled from the weak.

Yeah good luck with this one guys.
Respawns super happy with their heavily flawed rank system, we're all just being whiny freeloaders as usual. ;p

@Zamaha400 Sure if they keep placement RP the same as it is. But if placement RP was a KP Multiplier it wouldn't.
