@WingmannedbroWrong. All they need to do is add into their terms of service that more intrusive measures will be used to detect cheaters and if you don't like that, don't play the game. If you got nothing to hide, then its not a problem.
Wrong, there are lawful statutes that say breaking into peoples computers is illegal, it's called cybercrime and companies are not allowed to do this.
You're very mistaken if you think party A can put anything they want into some contract, and that contract being fully compliant with legislature if party B happened to sign it.
That is absolutely not true.
- 7 years agoI am not saying for E.A or respawn to do something like breaking into someones computer. They simply collect "advanced telemetry" and do not need to state what it is they are collecting. Companies to this all the time, with user consent of course.

Law would have to change for intrusive methods, like being able to see the desktop image of users to see their wallhack etc.
Detecting cheaters from data alone with algorithms obviously allows cheatmakers to avoid detection.

I changed my name atleast 3 times, I didnt even think of cheaters using it for this purpose OMG im gonna get banned !!
How about using a two step system many use -- enter name here --- enter public ingame name here ( this can then be changed as often as one wishes ) --solved
