Passion in gaming?

ATTENTION GAMERS LISTEN UP

What is your passion in gaming and the story about it? Lets get to know one better. Are you passionate about clearing the last boss in a game, going 2 LAN parties, heck, twitter stalking gaming ppl?

Well mine is my pursuit of collecting collector’s editions: Ever since I was little I was into gaming, but I never gotten any games except for my birthdays when I was younger. The excuse: you want something, buy it yourself. Good advice to give to a kid between 8-13 who can’t work yet... and you can kiss my derrière if you think I would’ve done a paper route for less than 40 bucks a month XD. Flatout extortion.

So from 15 on I started working and buying all my things myself... and fell in love with collector’s editions...

[EDIT] changed the topic and my initial post, sorry @MandatoryIDtag :P

@Koochi-QOh it’s not about the value. They are not terribly expensive. Basically before CGI, all animation was done on clear cells like that for the movies.. those are two from the movie the Mouse Detective. I think the little mermaid was the last Disney movie made using animation cells.

I just like Disney and thought they were cool art. I don’t like what Disney has become, to corporate and All about profits. But before that Walt Disney was trying to use his park to show the world what it could be.. Epcot was a show case of that or used to be until disney got to corporate. I feel like they lost sight of that.

I’d be interested to see some of your gaming collection though. You did say you collect rhat stuff..

I have good memories of Disney's Fantasia, still worth a watch and listen today, back when animatiors would painstakingly hand draw all of the frames.

While modern computer created animation can look slick and polished, it doesn't quite capture the magic that Fantasia did.

@WingmannedbroBeauty and the Beast was the first movie to use computer animation. I still respect computer animation, there is still creativity involved with it and it’s still art, it’s just a different medium and different tools.

i wish I had cells from Fantasia or some of the older movies like Peter Pan. But those are really hard to find and really expensive.

I like collecting physical game boxes of games I enjoy, don't really care for a disk as digital is the way but having the box itself is a different feeling.

Currently almost have all Star Wars game boxes for xbox and ps just need Fallen Order but still unsure if I wanna buy now or later.

I mainly collect all the cosmetics and stuff I can possibly collect in every game, I don't know why, I just feel like I am a perfectionist and need EVERYTHING in the game. Other than that I like to collect video game/movie paraphernalia (Spelled it right first try). I have a lot of Star Wars items in particular.

@iBlockHead Do you have any of the boxes from the early Star Wars games? N64 or others? Oh the memories...

I play Minecraft, No man's sky and Skyrim, those are really the only open worlds I play. I love the 100% goal though, I strive for it in games like Halo, Battlefront, COD, Apex, and others.

@DarthValtrex SNES was the best console ever made, followed by the N64. The good old days of Mario, Donkey Kong and Goldeneye. 😀.

I use to be addicted to COD during the COD4, MW2 and 3 days, honestly I was very addicted. I became pretty good obviously with the amount of time I put in. Now the new cods have lost something, I personally think it all ended when the original IW crew left. Thats probably why I like TF2 and Apex being made by Respawn ( old IW team).

I use to collect old games consoles and games but sold it all a couple of years ago. Now I just play for fun a couple hours a day, either Apex or BFV or 1.

The only thing I collect now is Stephen King books. Not gaming i know but that's all I can think of. Lol
