PC FOV settings?

Just curious what you guys are set at and what size screen your on?

I play on a 27" monitor and have my FOV set at 100. I feel like a lot of times it's hard to spot people from mid range. I'll have teammates ping enemies and have to spend a good second intently looking to get a solid spot on an enemy.  90 feels like I'm missing out,  and 110 seems a bit wide.

Any suggestions? Maybe my eyes just can't keep up with the 13 year olds lol.

  • @blkarmphoenix27" set to default and enemies for me seem to be blacked out vs their surroundings, making it easy to spot from afar.

     EDIT

What does FOV actually do or help with? Does it just try to fit more of your surroundings onto your TV/monitor? I have a curved monitor and was thinking of messing with this setting but was skeptical if it would help at all.

@blkarmphoenixI do have great eyesight actually. I have been messing around with different FOV settings and 110 feels really comfortable for me.

@iBlockHeadA higher FOV lets you see more of the in game world on your screen. With the default setting, you could have an enemy standing just outside what you can see on your screen, but if you had a wider FOV you would be able to see him without turning.
For first person shooter games such as apex, it is a big help having your FOV higher. Just mess around with it and find a setting that works for you, and keep in mind, the higher the FOV the further away things will look.
