Permission to mirror ALGS Pro League stream on personal Twitch

I’m not very good at English, so I’m using a translation website to fill this out. Please bear with me.

The ALGS Pro League has started. Is it possible to mirror the official stream on my own Twitch channel?

Since I live in Japan, EsportsRage is streaming the APAC-N region. In this case, do I need to obtain permission from both EA and Rage?

I have reviewed EA’s content policy, but it does not mention anything about mirroring tournament streams.

Please provide a response regarding this matter.

TimeParadox_Tor As far as I'm aware of, you are allowed to stream watch parties without needing prior permission.

Although a few things to consider doing are:

    • Having a Twitch bot share in chat the link of the channel you are watching.
    • Clearly stating that your stream is a watch party, (such as in the title, description, etc.)
    • Making sure it is clear that you are not affiliated with Apex, EA, Respawn, or EsportsRage so viewers won't assume as such.

Besides that, you should be good to go!

    That’s right.

The APAC-N region streams ALGS on EsportsRage’s Twitch account.

If I want to host a watch party for EsportsRage’s stream on my Twitch account, I’d like to know if I need to get permission in advance.

If permission is required, I’d like to know where I should apply for it.

TimeParadox_Tor So you mean when the ALGS steam goes live, you set up your steam to broadcast the same thing that the ALGS is streaming on their Twitch channel?

    Sorry for the late reply.

In APAC-N, an organization called EsportsRage is live-streaming the ALGS pro league.

My question is whether I need to request permission from both EA and EsportsRage in order to mirror-stream (host a watch party) that broadcast on my channel.

I’m asking because I saw a streamer on Twitch who clearly hadn’t obtained permission hosting a watch party for the APAC-N pro league broadcast, which made me wonder.

I used a translation website to translate this from Japanese to English, so I apologize if it’s a bit hard to understand.
