Yes 😕 I jk but honestly playing Crypto is detrimental in general until he gets reworked hes like playing a legend with no abilities since other can do what he does with an acutal impact

@Agorixel then you just need lessons on how to play as Crypto.

When you are in a full team, Crypto should land some distance from the squad and immediately deploy his drone. Scan the banner and ping how many squads in the area. Fly to the nearest recon beacon and give them the locations on the map. Now log off or recall the drone and rejoin the team. You can loot weapons along the way as you return. You don't want to deploy the drone near the team as it will give away their position. During a fire fight, deploy the drone to mark targets, keep the drone on the move and the other team will start trying to shoot it. When the ultimate is ready ZAP! The team must also be aware that Crypto is not the tank or assault. If people do their part and play an active role, Crypto is a valued asset.

When you drop in solo as Crypto, drop near a hotspot but not inside it. Deploy the drone and move it into the hotspot. Keep the drone low running along the ground as it will be a target. Another strategy to protect the drone is to fly it high up to an "out of bounds" area. Find a place to loot weapons while your ultimate is charging. It takes forever for his ultimate, use this time to arm up. Once the ultimate is ready, bring it within 30 meters of the party and ZAP! I can get up to 450 per match just from the EMP. There are few matches I get less than 100 EMP damage.

Finally I wear camo or the all black suit. DO NOT dress like you are going to a party! When you log into your drone, you should be facing a wall and crouched. Crypto's heads up display glows green and will give away your position. Crypto is most vulnerable when operating the drone. A good trick with the new recon beacon is to wait for a full charge before you scan it. Teams nearby will either flee or head to the beacon. Have the drone waiting their for them when they arrive.

This is all fundamentally requires the player to invest time to learn to use this specific legend which is exactly why i don't think Crypto, Many of your suggestions and tactics are sound and advantages but fundamentally I disagree with the method personally as I prefer to be near or close range to protect my team mates and fight head on against the enemy. But crypto if used effectively can be very good, its kind of related to time to kill its so long that getting the jump on the enemy wont save you where as drone and team in BF4/3 will easily take out squad because of the amount of damage in the game.
What do you think of giving crypto drone some sentinel or offensive mode to assist in fights ?

  @Agorixel Crypto's drone is pretty offensive with the EMP. I don't know how it happened but there was a player in a sniper perch on Olympus. I flew my drone in from behind and hit the EMP. The EMP somehow killed the sniper. I was looking at the kill meter in dismay wondering just how that could have happen. I think the people shooting at them from the Estates, must have reduce their health to less than 50, and my drone EMP put the icing on the cake.
