I totally agree. Allowing users to just craft a banner creates the possibility where a user can ignore combat, that's bad design for a first person shooter.
Also, you might want to post this in the feedback section of these forums. The general discussion section is a lot like the movie series Mad Max to where everyone is trying to take everyones stuff. I'm not sure anything written in the general discussion has ever been used for actual feedback for Apex Legends.
Again, great feedback, I also think crafting banners is a bad and/ or poor design idea.
