Please take action against the growing abuse of controller converters

Just because someone is using a controller does **not** mean they are innocent or legit. There are countless players using mouse inputs disguised as controllers through devices like XIM, Cronus, or ReaSnow. These "converter" users gain full aim assist advantages while having mouse-level precision and tracking.

Especially in Asia servers, ranked matches are flooded with these users. They dominate fights, track through smoke, and beam targets unnaturally – all while being treated as regular controller players by the system.

**Controller ≠ fair play anymore.**
This needs to stop.

We are tired of losing games to these abusers. Many legitimate players are quitting the game out of frustration, and it's heartbreaking to see fair competition disappear.

I sincerely ask Respawn to:
- Recognize that converters exist and are rampant
- Investigate suspicious controller input patterns
- Develop detection and punishment systems for such abuse
- Give fair players a chance to enjoy ranked without unfair advantages

Please don't let Apex Legends become a game where cheaters thrive just because they use a controller.

Respectfully,
[A frustrated legit player from Asia]

  • To EA / Respawn,

I’m reporting a major problem that is seriously affecting ranked play in Apex Legends.

A growing number of players are abusing controller aim assist by using converter devices (such as XIM, Cronus, or ReaSnow) that allow mouse input to be interpreted as a controller. These "converter" users gain unfair advantages with pinpoint accuracy, minimal recoil, and full tracking – all while bypassing any restrictions normally applied to mouse and keyboard players.

The player in question, [ID REMOVED], is a suspected converter user. Based on the evidence I’ve captured, including suspicious tracking through Bangalore’s smoke and extremely precise kill patterns, this is far beyond the capacity of a legitimate controller user.

These types of players are ruining ranked games, especially in the new Ladder system, where they gain massive kill/damage advantages with virtually no counterplay.

**Your current anti-cheat system fails to detect these players.**

This is not just a matter of cheating – it's a platform-level integrity issue. If EA continues to ignore converter users and treats them as legitimate controller players, honest users will continue to quit the game out of frustration.

    I urge you to:
    - Investigate suspected converter users actively
    - Add a detection or verification mechanism for input devices
    - Penalize converter abusers just as you do with aimbot or ESP users

We, as players, deserve a fair ranked experience.

    Sincerely,

Edit: Removed player ID and image showing player ID. This breaks our rule on "naming and shaming". Please report players by following the instructions here. -CM

  • They can't balance their game where one character is 1000 times better than 70% of the others, and you believe they'll do something with Cronus Zen/Xim? Not to mention the fact that they have not been able to improve their game mechanics for 6 years, such as matchmaking, which is even worse than it was for solo "q".

    Do you really believe that?

We will all soon be playing paraApex and paraFPS games (with people who have two left hands and have to cheat), because most will be using this crap, because without it they will achieve nothing.

Too bad - soon FPS games will be just memories. Unless you just cheat and it gives you satisfaction.

It used to be estimated that in the most difficult pub lobbies there is +/- 15-20% cheater. And now you can see with the naked eye that there are at least 2x more of them. Wallhack is the basic tool for these people. Then there is Cronus/Xim if they use a controller. Then various scripts for recoil, movement, etc. This game is simply dying.

  • I have a vague memory of... Playstation, was it? ... or was it some specific game like Call of Duty? ... that "banned" these devices. Never heard anything about it after the initial announcement. Which makes me think their detection maybe didn't work as accurately as they thought and maybe they had to back off the claim. Or, who knows, maybe it worked perfectly and that game is now Xim-free. Anybody know?
