@pandareno1999this official info answers your situation about pings: https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/news/servers-netcode-developer-deep-dive
Indeed Apex is one of those games where 100+ ms ping is actually playable - this season when playing at night I also switch to NA instead of EU servers given EU goes to sleep and there are literally no people in Discord and I don't want to soloq, also NA lobbies are easier (don't play them intentionally when I can easily get games in EU).
On the one hand this is a good news, on the other hand all those no-regs and other weird stuff which is present in Apex and not in other FPS games are tightly related to this 20hz stuff and how Apex "predicts" stuff.
As for what @Solid_EXC posted - sad story in my experience is that people who are ready to "cheat" usually do cheat in various ways = many of those Preds who exploit the system I am sure are doing it in multiple other ways be it not recoil, teaming up and farming with other teams, hacks, etc. that's just how humans are wired in my opinion - all or nothing 🙂
That's why I am totally against worshiping those "pros" because while they have put in a lot of time at least streaming and maybe sharing one or two insights regular players will be able to use on daily basis, most of the time it is smoke and mirrors, theatricals, crazy marketing pushing subs/products, because that's what it is all about for them, maybe not all pros but most of them for sure - I guess we all have this feeling when watching some players who genuinely enjoy playing the game and sharing the knowledge and players who are there to just say "omg thanks for subs, you are the best" every 3-5 seconds. I am sure that people who are not mentally stable (most of Apex community sadly) become even more unstable when they receive their first paycheck from Twitch, Youtube or any other affiliate that provides cashflow. I am sure many just flip the switch "ok this is great, easy money, I will do whatever to keep it up, because the choice is this vs. school and job 9-5 that pays a fraction of what I get now".
In my opinion true to the game fanboys should report those streamers as soon as they see stuff like this happening be it smurffing, changing servers, using game exploits etc. I mean you don't even need to record and upload a video, streamers already done it for you, just open anti-cheat page -> post stream link and ask Apex to apply measures to the streamer to motivate the person earn the Pred the right way.
