Can’t find anyone talking about this, but do we know if there is an answer for why we can’t use 3rd party controllers(ps4 controller) on the ps5 version of apex?
I know at least 15 people that are not playing the ps5 version because they can’t use there ps4 controller with back paddles.

@YaBoiSmidThis is a Sony thing due to the PS5 controller being different. No PS5 game works with a DS4 controller.
I'd checkout Aim for PS5 controllers with back buttons.
I think people needed to see the writing on the wall on this one. We all knew that next gen was coming, and that you can't play PS5 games on a dual shock. I bought an AIM controller a couple months ago, and I'm super happy with it. I actually like it a lot better than my now-almost-useless Scuf Infinity!
It's really on Sony to get on the ball and produce a back button assembly for the dual sense. I'm honestly shocked that they've left it this long already.

I haven't found the next gen update all that compelling yet so far. You guys might as well keep playing on the PS4 version until something changes - got a controller, Sony released back buttons, Apex gives us 120 fps...
