I've been experiencing a bug where as soon as a press to shoot I throw a punch instead. Even when I change my button layout for a different option the same bug happens to me. It also happens to a couple of People I played with, when I told em about it.
I did this, I set my analog stick (which is the normal ‘’melee’ button) to instead have my emote menu pop up rather than meleeing mid fight. Only then, during a fight, instead of meleeing, I would pop up the map mid fight, which honestly puts me in a worse spot that meleeing because then I’m standing still as I’m getting lasered by an opponent.
So honestly, it’s not even enough to change your controller layout sometimes, you’ll just be substituting the same problem with a different action. I’ve been long fed up with this too and I wish something could be done but idk how it could be fixed. Because I’m with you, there’s been countless times where I’ll even be in mid-mag, and all of a sudden my character melees instead. I thought it only happened in the middle of switching guns but I have held down the attack button, firing my weapon, but then it switches to melee. I can’t even think of how many times I’ve been screwed by this issue.
Yes this is! It happens to me on my PS4 with my thumb completely not touching anything. I will have to try the scenarios said below and see if one of those might be it... Its already tough enough learning how to play this game only 2.5 months in from a 12/13 year long break from video games after I sold my ps3, as this game is not a beginner friendly game but really just playing this game on a PS4 means I'm already at a disadvantage. I've have whole magazines go right through legends and not register, people disappear right off the screen, a legend shooting me dead after head already turned the corner and the game caught up and much more. I love this game but some nights I really hate it.
