Gibby's arm shield needs a slight nerf, whether it be a timer or a certain amount of uses. I hate breaking the shield only for him to go around a corner for two seconds and have it again. It wastes time and ammo. I suggest if it gets destroyed, it can't come back for 30 seconds or so. He already has the Fortified perk, but the arm shield puts him over the top in hectic gun fights.
I agree that Gibraltar shield is a headache specially in a head on fight, add to that a purple/gold armor, and their would be a lot of hit points to go through even long burst of the spitfire or devotion won't stop him.
I can think of a debuff, 1 of the following 2,
1. he can keep the 15% damage reduction from the fortified per, but get the flinch and slow of the heavy ammo.
or
2. he got like a .5 or 1 sec stun when his shield is broken, where he stop shooting, moving, aiming. etc.
@jonesy0218 Rip away Fortified then. Honestly that passive annoys other players more than it helps Gibraltar so I'd rather keep his base abilities and lose most of the buffs. Forcing head to head fights is the only way for Gibraltar to win and his Gun shield is the main tool that allows him to do that. Weaken it too much and there's not much he can do in a fight.
@Zeues-1992 You're basically killing the character so he can keep a weak passive. I won't lie my main way of fighting with Gibraltar is abusing that gun shield as much as possible. Without that shield its easier to tank as Lifeline than Gibby.
@heme725 I can respect that. But I still don't think he should be able to regenerate a shield by taking a step behind a wall. It's basically unlimited HP. It's already an advantage that he practically starts with 150 HP if the shield is used.

I'm down with an extended timer as long as when not in use the shield regenerates.
@ProbablySinning I even like this idea! We just need something in place where if I shoot and break his shield, he can't take two seconds to step aside and have it again. Even the shield regenerating HP would be dope.
@jonesy0218 I'm a little confused by this Jonesy. I've never counted but it takes a long time for my shield to start regenerating on its own. Chances are that Gibraltar stepped behind cover and popped a shield cell to get his gun shield back which is something I often do. Gibraltar is the only character you'll see me carrying 18 shield cells on just to abuse that shield.
If your issue is how quickly he can dive back into a fight after you've broken his shield then you'd need to take away his ability to recover his gun shield with items. If that's what you want then his gun shield will need to naturally START recovering somewhere around 5 seconds after its broken instead of the insanely long time it takes now.

Just don't try to dog fight him.
He is a tank!
He suppose to be hard to fight head on!
His gunshiled is perfect!
He is hard to fight heads up!
But that's why you have to always flank him.
Or abuse cover until you break his gun shield.
It take a bit of time to kill a Gibraltar heads up!
But, that all he has going for him.
Don't try to take it away!
