I definitely have to own to not playing enough ranked to say much about your Fuse. I get players like that in my pubs lobbies, but I have to say that if I was a rank chaser and if I made it to platinum and that guy somehow made it into the same lobby as me, let alone the same team... well, I guess what I would say is that enough things like that happened decades ago in games where I did play ranked... that I never played it again. In any game. Not anymore, Apex or elsewhere.
"i normally dont opt for stupid unwinnable fights at chokepoints, wont get greedy for loot/kills when the 3 ring is seconds away, ect."
I loved that. I wish Respawn's "Guide to Apex" would include a list of things like that, because while it all seems obvious to you and I, it clearly doesn't to very many other people. Which kinda brings me back to "play style." I should have used the expression "play style and match goals," which I do more commonly. I add "match goals" here because the Fuse story reminds me of how often I get players who seem to be on another planet until I remember to check challenges after the match, and sure enough... somebody was checking their "play two matches as _____" box. They didn't care if won or lost or died on drop. They were just punching their timecard. I've always hated challenges in games exactly because they're drivers of idiotic behavior. Anyway, just one example....
