Question: 3rd party crosshair allowed or not?

So the subjet already says it: are crosshairs that are provided by 3rd party programs allowed or not? I saw some App in the Microsoft store called "Crosshair V2" and it says that it's "used by Pro eSports players".

Sooo...are these things allowed or not? I don't really see why they should be prohibited cause it's just a crosshair, but I also don't really see a reason for an external crosshair. So just wondering. Is this allowed? 🤨🤔

  • @Zero-Loot5 Master Rule says: NO
Another rule says: IF its whitelisted by eac, it allowed
Life rule says: All is allowed if you dont get caught :P
  • @Srksii I mean it would be interesting to know cause a mate of mine whom I regularly play with said that sometimes the in-game crosshair is slightly displayed from the actual center and that's the reason (probably at least) why in some rounds your hipfire hits so well and sometimes out of a 30 round Flatline mag only 2 or 3 shots hit even though the enemy doesn't really have great movement.

On one side I find that a little hard to believe cause IF that were the case it'd be a thing done on porpose by the devs.
But on the other thing maybe it IS true cause they just did some funky programming. By now I think of almost anything as possible so who knows.

But I sure as hell won't risk my 2500+hrs account for such an experiment so I'll just abstain from playing with such stuff activated.
  • Honestly I think that anything 3rd party shouldn't be allowed. It should be just you, the game and your controller/MnK. That's it.

    @AcidicSoda44031 Yeah I agree. I just won't risk it.
Some programs like Overwolf are allowed, the devs themselves said so, but tbh I don't really see the benefit of that program.
  • Yeah, you would be taking a risk with anything that needs to be drawn over the game. Especially if it's installed on your PC. My monitor has built in crosshair's, can't be seen or screenshotted except by me physically. Doesn't really help a whole lot though unless the crosshair in-game is terrible.

Like i said, everybody will say No, but reality is other thing. Lot of people cheat, and hud is like lowest possible offense. chances of ban are low, but if you want ot try it safe way, only way is monitor hud that cant be detected by any means. Also, it really dont help much, little , but not much
  • @Srksii Yeah my monitor doesn't have that so I just won't do it.

But tbh I can't really imagine that Apex just randomly moves around your crosshair a little but. Sure could still be possible but whatever. Would be interesting to know but I won't risk it and I can live with this information not being known.
  • @Zero-Loot5 People are gonna do it regardless when a 2 year old game does not provide crosshair customization. Apex has ugliest hipfire crosshair by far.

@Zero-Loot5 I'd guess those times you have the cross hair lined up and don't hit you are seeing lag or someone with lag. The game does use lag compensation so that other player probably isnt right where you aimed. No cross hair tech will fix that.
  • Got perma banned.

    I was using playclaw.

It might not be the reason. They never tell me.

Anyway, Don't use it , at least playclaw.
