Question about AHQ forum leveling

Always wondered about this. When you reach the 100% progress on your level, doesn't that mean you should automatically "rank up"? Instead now it's like you have to reach 101% to get to the next level. Am I right or I'm missing something?

Hey, so there's a bug with the progress display, your progress is tracked on quite a few metrics and one is weighted too heavily for the progress tracker.

And as noted, the progress tracker shows cumulative lifetime progress, so often when hitting a new rank you'll appear to be much further along towards the next rank.

@Cro_Pittt Yeah I’m not sure, I have had this happen for quite a while in some cases. I don’t know if it’s intentional or a bug

The ranking system has gone through several changes over the years and I don't think it'll ever get fixed at this point - keep earning XP/have solutions accepted and it'll eventually go up... maybe 😛

@Cro_Pittt imo from what I have seen, it seems to be that 100% progress level is actually 99.01% up to the actual 100%😃 then you level up when you get to 100.01%.
Then you get to 5* expert progress 100% and it stops increasing, even with more given xp, much like level 500 in the game. 😉 but it's fun getting there.

@OldTreeCreeper It could be like you said but then they should not show the 100%, it should stay as 99% lol. But this was just my curiosity, sometimes not important details like this drive me nuts. 😃.

Hehe its just math, it round to the closest whole, problem is they calculate based on your entire xp so when you level you're already 95% to your next level when you level 🙂 if the percent calculation been based on the diff between the prev level and the next you would get a more correct presentation of the progress, same use floor not round to show the whole percentage, then it would be 100% only when you are the level hehe.

Not to worried about it all.
If you are a good and active member of the forum you will level up. However that (leveling up) really does not matter much to me. The more important thing is being a good community member that contributes to helping others and providing constructive criticism to EA/Respawn and other members of the forum where needed.

It only matters if I can change my avatar into these. I think only champions/heroes/guardians/moderators have the ability to upload a custom avatar.

Do posts that you create that were then deleted due to 18+ content and you get a temp ban for example, still count towards your contribution?
Asking for a friend 🙄
